I like stuff like this and it could be done VRT or with self resistance.

I know MikeNy and Yourself like stuff like this. I think slowing down is a good way to feeling the muscle work and keeping injuries at bay. Not that I do super slow but I have slowed down my reps.
Thanks for posting, Michael. It looks like a middle way between isometrics and dynamics. I did slow/superslow VRT (c0-contraction) without light weights, and it worked successfully for some time. Then my progress has stopped because of a plateau. For me, the progressive increase of tension in self-resistance works better for muscle size and strength.
