Keep it Simple Sir

I love watching Martial Arts techniques. I love the beauty in the movements and I love cool throws and take-downs. Then I want to learn that cool technique then a voice in my head to tells me. " Aaron that ain't gonna work on the street. "

Why? Because the adrenaline dump makes complex movements difficult even if you have done them a million times in practice. The other guy is not going to give you a chance to line him up for a nice fancy take-down.
The techniques I practice are:
1) Front Kick
2) Front Knees
3) Skin Kick
4) Low roundhouse kick
5) Axe hand strike
6) Palm strikes
7) Cupped Hand strikes
8) Hammer strikes
These 8 techniques with aggression and force will form a powerful back bone to many combative systems and would serve you well. Many of these simple techniques have being pressure tested in real violence.

Learn to hit with all your being. Imagine the worst situation you and your family could be in. With straight shots use a drop step and hit with a powerful forward force, exploding using all your body. Practice, Practice, Practice.
Simple, yet with power and aggression this works well.
