This is a self defense drill with the Star BM9. This is one I reconditioned and cleaned up for my youngest daughter's 22nd birthday. She is into collecting firearms.
The drill is simple and goes in a sequence. Predator approaches and with body bladed you assume a defensive posture. Predator comes in with a weapon such as a knife or bludgeon. Perhaps he is drawing a firearm himself or presenting one in a manner that is not immediately a threat. In other words the gun is not pointed at you.
Draw the gun in a hip point T-stance. At this time the predator is within 15 feet. Fire twice. Move back to about 7 yards. Get both hands on the gun. Fire twice again. Move back to about 10 yards. Fire two more rounds. You are trying to get distance between you and the predator.
There is cover at 12 yards. At this point you fire and reload. Predator appears to be down. Move back away from cover. Quick peak and move out. Predator tries to get up to come back at you. Fire twice. This time he is down.
Five shots hit the sternum area. Three went to abdomen. One hit low below the target. One hit to the right shoulder of the target. The hip point shots are deceptive looking. If you have someone at close range coming in on you, the gun will probably be right at their belly and the weak hand is there to block any sort of blow or attack.
Beautiful!!!!
