I use both Acupressure and Reflexology; I have Trigeminal Neuralgia called "the Suicide Disease", because Treatment Providers use just narcotics to treat it and most (nearly all) patients kill themselves. I'd got an infection in my ear visiting a friend in the hospital and saw a Neurologist after 3 bouts of antibiotics and he predicted I get Trigeminal Neuraolgia in 2 years, it took eight years.
My buddy Ron (aka hollyweed on the Transformetrics website) talked me into trying Acupressure rather then use drugs! I'd broken 2 teeth off at the gumline and damaged 14 other teeth; and was scheduled to see a Neurologist. I used Acupressure before for some things but doubted it could treat this disease! It worked the first night! Ron taught me about Electric Acupuncture Pens (sold cheap on ebay) for treating muscular injuries and pain. You use the Acupressure/Acupuncture Points and Acupressure treatment.
I'd also developed an interest in Reflexology years earlier and it to works.
My buddy has TMJ, he uses the Acupressure TMJ exercises when it flares up to control it; and it has not gotten worse in the years since he started. I do the exercises daily and wear a nightguard.
