Sevens are the old bodybuilding protocol of seven half reps, seven reps from half to full contraction and then seven full reps. This weekend I went camping with my best friend from work and my son-in-law. I was perfectly happy chilling out at the campsite while they took the boat to go fishing. Between reading articles in the Founder's Bible, I'd hike or jump in the lake for a swim. I also spent time with various DVR/DSR type exercises.
One of the things I was experimenting with was sevens using various DVR/DSR movements. It seems to really work well in getting a pump; especially with the DVR style movements. So this something I am going to integrate for awhile in my workouts. Not all exercises are suited for this; but many are. I am also going to do this with push-ups and do 3's with pull-ups.
Some questions came in recently about DVR only exercise. If you cannot do anything else do it! It is low impact and can be effective within your genetic framework. The key is developing a strong mind to body concetration and focus.
The hows have to do with tensing the muscles as hard as you can and then fighting it through a range of motion. Relax the muscle as you retract.

Hi Michael - just a few workouts has made a difference in the size of the muscles. The pump has stayed if that makes sense. We'll see how it goes.
