Isometrics are a funny thing. i think you gain good body strength. Even if you were doing say Isometric deadlifts even if you were not doing normal deadlidfts with weights youd prob find you could still have a good lift respectable lift for a non lifter. i maintained my strength to press a 70 pound kettlebell 5-7 times from purely doing Isometrics. No doubt about it Isometrics develop the ability to recruit muscles rapidly which translates to power. Going back to doing pad work ive noticed my hits are strong. Michael my email is joe90ron but my actual name is Aaron. Regards and its good be back around! 😀😀
Nice to see you here Joe! Your training sounds good. Hopefully in the near future you could write up your past experiences with isometrics.
Hey up man, i wasnt on the old site for a few weeks then it was gone. Didnt know about this and found it by accident. Hope you, Greg and everyone else is well. Of late ive reduced the volume of Isometric training to more Martial arts/ self defense training. Doing pad work with my girlfriend and with a friend a few times a week is the main body of my training of late. Hope your training is going well and everyone here is good and well.
