Coming from more of bodybuilding type of training I was always curious about this. And No I never was and am not a bodybuilder. On the internet You here all kinds of opinions. Alot of times they all contradict each other. Anyhow, I thought this would be something that could start a good discussion.
I would say rep and set amount is a personal thing that depends on things like intensity, volume and goals.. I don't think everyone one should follow the same thing, but that's differant than angles.
I usually use "different angles" training, sometimes rotations with voluntary muscle co-contraction . But I care to give sufficient loading for all muscle fibers of interest to get volume/intensity needed for hypertrophy. As was described, each muscle should get >12 sets/week. I would say that each muscle fiber should get this volume and corresponding intensity. If we use FMT, we can easy reach this goal.
Honestly Bob they're opinions not problems. Everyone likes different things and nothing is magical. But if it works for You that's great.
My reason for posting this is because some disagree or agree with the angle thing. I wanted to see if I could get some opinions on this subject. You can go around the internet and find plenty of people who say their way of training is the best and the only way.
That is why I love FMT; it resolves all training problems described in these articles.
