I am working on a channel update for my YouTube channel and am going to split my channel into two channels; one primarily firearms and the other fitness. When I was doing it, I got to thinking where I have come from and what got me doing what I am doing. I went through a period a couple of years ago where we'd had a violent confrontation at our house from my oldest daughter's boyfriend at the time. It was the cumulation of a lot of bad mistakes by my daughter. It was a hopeless time for both my youngest daughter and my oldest daughter.
But you pray and hold on. Knowing how sneaky and snakey this guy was, my daily carry of a firearm started during this period. Along with that, my nephew committed suicide and my grandmother died not too long after. It was a hard time. I didn't train much. I know on the old forum, people were wondering where I was at and why I wasn't participating on my own forum.
I didn't confide to many people what was going on except for GB and Michael. Those guys were very supportive and helped get me through some rough times. Sometimes it is the small kindnesses and encouragement that get you through. Anyway, I thought this would a good time to publically thank those two gentlemen. They are very much appreciated.
And my daughter's situation? She has two beautiful daughters and just married a fine young man. He's a manly guy and protective of my daughter and granddaughters. They are in good hands.

Greg, thank you. We have a good group here, and I appreciate your support. Now - its workout time.
My prayers are with you DD. Sometimes its just knowing you have people who support you is what makes the difference.
Greg, I remember the time you are referring to but I had no idea about the backstory. Thank you for sharing. I'm in a difficult situation myself and I draw strength and hope from what you've described here. Prayer helps, as does patience. Knowing that others have come through these kinds of things, and reading your story helps me as well - so glad your family is back on the high ground. I hope we're not going to turn this into the events of my non-workout life. But there are many kinds of strength and reading about your experience can only help me with mine. God Bless.
