I was wondering what thoughts some had diet wise, especially when it comes to health. I've been experimenting with differant diets over the years so I can get a better idea what makes me feel better. Also I'm interested in keeping my weight down. Recentlly I worked with someone on an ellimanation diet that consisted of all meat and green vegetables. The idea was to eat fatty meats and get a decent amount of fat with greens.
Some of the pros I had with this diet was my knees felt great, I did lose weight(but it came to a plateua), and I didn't feel hungry all the time. The one bad thing that came out of this diet I won't mention here. This was the game changer for me. Here were some of the cons, expensive, my wife complaining about me eating meat all the time, chest didn't feel right, caused challenges with my throat problem, and boring.
I did an almost vegetarian diet where I ate either meat, chicken, turkey or fish at dinner. My waist got smaller than with the all meat diet. I just figured I'd share this experience to see if anyone else had any insights or experiences. Thanks Bob. Greg I'd say Jaymo did have a point there. The diet I felt the best on was heavy on the vegetables, couple of pieces of fruit a day, nuts, with animal protein at dinner, brown rice, beans, sweet potatoes, and oatmeal as my grains. This last diet experiment that was heavy on the meat had a bad drawback for me that I won't mention. Bread, pasta, and peanut butter are my kyptonite. I eat them I gain weight and I tend to eat to much.
I pretty much control what I eat for breakfast, snack and lunch.I bring a lunch bag to work so I always have what I need.Dinner is pretty easy because my wife likes to eat healthy.
