I've been watching the trailers. Thirty-four years later Johnnie Lawrence is a pathetic drunk, and Daniel Larusso is a successful businessman and car dealership owner. Who'd have thunk it? What I like about what I've seen so far is the humanity shown in the character of Johnnie. Real life is not black or white, but shades of gray. Now if only Martin Kove will make an appearance as a changed man, and is now a pacifist Buddhist monk and becomes Larusso's mentor. BTW - I am hoping to see the character of Danielsan get his tail whipped sometime in this series by either Johnnie or one of his students.

My son-in-law watched all 10 episodes and enjoyed it. There is a season II where Martin Kove makes a return. At the end of seaon I he shows up at the end after Johnny's student beats Johnny's son who was trained by Daniel. I saw clips with one episode where Daniel teaches Johnny's son a goofy technique where he does a kick while balances on one hand. Other that, it looks like a good series.
I watched the first two episodes, but did not want to pay for the rest. You come away with (I did anyway) with a fairly sympathetic outlook toward Johnie. Danieleson is acted out as a holier than thou kind of guy. The first two episodes were "fun".
