I had wondered if adding alfalfa and garlic tablets would have an effect on my cholesterol. It dropped it. The overall cholesterol level is down from 190 t0 179 mg/dl. All numbers are down except HDL (the good kind) which remains the same at 47. I've been taking three alfalfa tablets and two garlic tablets twice a day for the past four months. My BP is down from 122/80 to 106/66.
Weight was 190 as opposed to 188 last year. Height was 5 foot 10.5 inches in tennis shoes. Bodyfat was measured at 14% . So overall I am pleased. The goal now is to lower the cholesterol more over the course of the next year.
Thanks Michael. I'll get more blood work done some time in the fall through work. The goal is to continue to lower the cholesterol and triglyceride levels nutritionally. I'm plenty happy that at 57 I am on no medications.
