This is a workout you can combine with the Sit-up/Push-up Workout on the Go, or can serve as a stand alone workout. Basically you are doing three positions with two biceps and two triceps exercises. You build the tension up and then contract against the belt, webbing or rope for 7-10 seconds. If you want more blood pumped into the muscles, do more positions of contraction.
The combination I am doing now - countdown workouts and isometrics, seem to give me the most bang for my buck in terms of strength, conditioning, balance (very important as you age), endurance, and mobility. I like other forms of self-resistance exercise and other types of routines, but I'd have to say I get the most out this combination.
Thanks, Greg. Very strong muscle loading. I do similar ones but in dynamic manner with body bending, squatting, stepping, and twisting. I feel something wrong with my isometrics.
