Ddmoates mentioned working through injuries on another thread. There are many articles on this with all differant opinions. If You don't believe me google," Working Through Injuries". Am I and expert on this subject? I don't know about that.
Reason I say that is because in the past I pushed through and worked with injuries. I had situations in the past where if I didn't go to work I didn't get paid. So it was more out of need and a little stupidity. With tree work I just thought it was part of the job so I walked around injuried. I won't mention the stuff I did that was stupid but I'll mention two injuries where I used my brain.
Some guys may have heard about this but I had a five degree seperation in my left shoulder which required an operation in 2007. The way I rehabbed this was with a Lifeline Chest Expander which is rubber cables. I started slow and progressed. I did get a little therapy but it only brought me to a certain point. My lower back I have mentioned before so I'll just say I was diagonosed with something wrong with all 5 disc plus one fractured vertabrae, that was in 2007 also. How I came threw this was alot of investagation by reading and listening. I won't bore anyone with this but I will say I have no pain in either.
I've had other broken bones, sprains, strains, bad cuts, ect...... So, What injuries have You had? How did You work through them? What helped You the most?
Michael, I won't go through all my history again but I hope that this subject helps other folks.
