I wanted to start a post about equipment everyone one likes or has. That way we can get some discussions going on about light apparatus. I like and have; Kettlebells, Cables, Light Dumbells 5-20lbs and Isometric straps. So if You would like to share You thoughts, please do.

That is pretty cool. I new had one, but I liked the convenience and principle (isokinetic) of the device. Nice looking clubs as well. A Bullworker is something I've been meaning to try. I've just never come across a used one in a flea market or used sporting goods store.
Obviously I have already set a post about the Persian/Indian Clubs. I have also owned the same Soloflex for 30+ years. (Not the one in the picture.) The dudes at Bobybuilding.com like to laugh at the Soloflex, but when I was young I could toss a lot of weight discs on it, and as Frank Zane would say, add the weight straps and you get quite the pump. I also collect Bullworkers.
As long as You like them Steve that's great. There's plenty You can do with those and Your own body. This keeps variety so You don't get bored.
Here is what I like and what I have currently....#1 I am using strap isometrics , then I have 2 bullworkers/ classic and steel bow, the bodyblade and a plain old 4 foot wooden dowel.
I agree can really get it done with little to nothing but variety is good to stop you hating your workouts now and then!
We really don't need much if anything to get a workout in. But sometimes the new shinny item makes us like a kid.
My Iso belt, two 10 kg Dumbbells, my inverted row station.
Jdamone121, a couple of questions. Why do you prefer timed holds over reps? What kind of results have you seen from these? I never used one of these. What is a good brand to buy? Curious.
Thanks for sharing that,Nice!
Lately I've been incorporating 2 movements that I interchange (do first, then second then first, etc.). So, it'll be something like kettlebell swings using both of the 16's on the outside of my knees (looks like this -- http://mikemahler.com/articles-videos/exercise-video-library/double-kettlebell-swing-technique-and-application) mixed with ab wheel rollouts. Another favorite combo is using the 25's and squats. I'll do the Dragan 4x4 (https://www.scribd.com/doc/315198889/Dragan-Radovic-Fitness-4x4-The-Way-of-Dragan-pdf) and either wall squats or regular free hand squats. For sets and reps, I aim for 75 reps on the swings and rollouts in sets of 5, and 75 reps on the 4x4 and 500 squats also in sets of 5.
Sounds sensible to me. Would you be willing to share your routine?
My "gym" consists of an ab wheel, a towel for the occasional bout with isometrics, 2 16 kg kettlebells and 2 25 pound dumbbells someone someone in my apartment complex was throwing out. I seem to thrive on fewer distractions with respect to exercise as I age and this collection enhances the whole "minimalist" approach.
The Bullworker is a good tool. I talked to a long time user of the Bullworker and he loved it. I'm currently using rubber cables for yielding isometrics. Almost the same concept.
I've been getting back into the bullworker recently. I haven't used one for years, but find it of great interest and fun to incororate this aspect of training. Also fun to play around Bbilding new routines and getting ideas from you tube. And most of all, it doesn't beat me up as much as bodyweight training.
I haven't had one in awhile, but something I really liked, and it had negligible function for bodybuilding were those big spring twisters or crushers. There was a certain amount of strength you could develop with them, but no way to increase resistance without buying a sturdier crusher. It was just a lot of fun to twist them around.
A stick is a great tool for self-resistance exercises.
That swingbell looks pretty cool! I think I remember You posting something before about that. Is there other exercises You can do with it or the swing unique to it? I forgot all about the Warrior T's. Doing pushups with them work the muscle much differant than military push ups. Some other things I have is an exercise ball, medicine ball, towels and a leverage bar. Lol, it's hard to get rid of some of this stuff so it hangs around.
I like all of those, but currently all I have are some light dumbbells, an adjustable set of dumbbells that go to 60 lbs, a swing bell and an Isometric belt. Mostly though I stick with basic calisthenics, body weight and self resistance. I also have Gary Bowe's Warrior Power Tees that I use on and off, and an old set of the rotating pushup handles I haven't used in years.
